Current News and Appearances

I know it's short notice--really, really short notice--but I'll be at the Rainbow Book Fair tomorrow (March 29th, 2014).  The fair goes from noon to 6:00 and I'll be at the Cleis Press table, along with Laura Antoniou so please come by and say hi.  We have candy...  Oh, and we'll both be reading: me at 3:30 and Laura at 5:30.

And then there's April 14th.  See, that's plenty of time for you to plan.  I'll be reading from my brand new collection of fem dom short stories, Her Wish is Your Command: Twenty-One Erotic Stories of Female Domination at Between the Covers at An Beal Bocht.

  
Along with me will be Debra Hyde and Cassandra Park.  Here are the particulars: 

Between the Covers takes place the second Monday of every month at An Beal Bocht, a literary irish pub, at 445 W. 238 St. from 7-9 pm. You can take the No. 1 train and walk up the hill.

We have three readers (see below) and we also always have our signature dirty word raffle where patrons write their favorite dirty word on a slip of paper (and initial to, because dirty minds think alike) and are entered to win gifts from our sponsors which include a corset from Hips and Curves, as well as books and sex toys.

Debra Hyde pens the newly released The Charlotte Olmes mystery series, which re-imagines the famous cohorts as lesbian women set in 1880s New York City just as the Gilded Age and all its social and scientific advances take hold. Debra's lesbian BDSM novel, Story of L, won the 2011 Lambda Literary Award for lesbian erotica. A modern retelling of the classic Story of O, it updates the original tale to reflect the contemporary lesbian leather world and the women in it. She is a contributing author to the ground-breaking interactive erotic Entwined series, penning two lesbian novellas for it, Hers and Provenance. Her short fiction backlist spans over a decade of writing and will be re-released as mini-collection in ebook during 2014.  

D.L. King  is the editor of anthologies such as Carnal Machines (an IPPY gold medalist), Under Her Thumb and The Harder She Comes (Lambda Literary Award winner and also IPPY gold medalist). Her stories can be found in Best Bondage Erotica, Leather Ever After, and Luscious, among many others. Look for her collection, Her Will is Your Command, 21 Erotic Stories of Female Domination, just published by Riverdale Avenue Books.  

Cassandra Park is a writer and editor who's been in the BDSM lifestyle for over 20 years. Her writing has been published by The Eulenspiegel Society, Scarlett Hill, Logical Lust Publications, Instructing Eve and Ravenous Romance. Her book, "It's SUPPOSED to Hurt!" and My First Spanking are available on Amazon. She blogs about her journeys in the scene at www.mscassandrapark.com.  

Next month, 5/12, Between the Covers will feature a Lambda Literary Award Finalists reading featuring Tim Teeman reading from IN BED WITH GORE VIDAL, Donna Minkowitz reading from GROWING UP GOLEM, and Laura Antoniou reading from THE KILLER WORE LEATHER.

How much does this cover rock?

Yeah, that's what I think, too!  This is my newest anthology from Cleis Press, due to be released May 13, 2014.  I know, it's a long way off, but it's already available on Amazon.

I'm really excited about this book.  Yes, these are stories of female submission.  It's a bit of a departure from my normal fare, but I'm extremely pleased with it.  All the stories are excellent.  You'll find new stories from some of your favorite authors and a few from brand new authors.  But keep your eye on them because I can predict you'll be seeing a lot more from them soon.
