Reading at KGB Bar Tonight!
Yes, you're right, I'm irresponsible. Correct again, I should have done this a long time ago. Well, better late than never, that's what I always say...
OK, OK, so don't hold it against me. But, if you happen to read this before 7:00 tonight (12/16/10) and you happen to be in New York City, and you don't have any pressing plans, you should stop by KGB Bar. It's the Best Lesbian Erotica annual reading and I'll be reading my story, "Walk Like a Man."
Check out the link for the particulars of this evening's festivities and, as always, be there or be square.

Passion Reading at Word in Brooklyn
Emerald, another friend and author (Actually, I'd only met Emerald on one previous occasion, almost two years ago at Rachel's In the Flesh, and hadn't had the chance to get to know her. But now, we really are friends!) was in town to read also. Robin, another friend, had come in from Connecticut to support Donna and Emerald.
They spent the day at the Museum of Sex and I joined them later in the afternoon at Donna's sister's in Manhattan for wine and cheese before heading out to the reading, back in Brooklyn.
Although it was Veteran's day, there was a lot more rush hour traffic than I'd anticipated and our cab had a hell of a time trying to get over the Williamsburg Bridge, but we finally made it to Word, only a few minutes late. And as anyone who has attended a reading knows, it didn't start on time, anyway. So we were there in plenty of time!
There were a few other readers there, including Rachel and the reading went very well. Passion promises to be a real hit and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Donna and Emerald, as well as the other readers.
The food was really excellent, as was the waiter, unfortunately, the server was a bit over-zealous for my taste. The space is very small, but the food is well worth any discomfort. I do wish they'd turn up the light a bit, though. Personally, I like being able to read the menu and see my food, especially when it's so well prepared and plated.
It was great to see Donna again. She doesn't make it to New York nearly often enough for my taste and it was great getting to know Emerald better!
I called for three separate cars to get people back to Manhattan from the restaurant (So many Manhattanites are so lost in Brooklyn...). Of course one of them was for me because, even though I live in Brooklyn, I don't live anywhere near the restaurant and none of the subway lines in the area would get me home remotely easily... All I can say is Arecibo, my go-to car service, rocks!

Lesbian Lust, Love and Sex
I got invited to read with some heavy hitters in lesbian erotica. I'll be joining Sacchi Green (Lambda Literary Award Winner--Lesbian Cowboys, Girl Crazy, Lesbian Lust, etc.) and Kathleen Warnock (Best Lesbian Erotica 2010 and 2011) at Giovanni's Room in Philadelphia this Sunday, September 26. The reading is set to begin at 5:30 but come early as it will all be over by 7:00!
Check out the event on the Giovanni's Room website!
I'll be reading my story, "Walk Like a Man" from the upcoming Best Lesbian Erotica 2011. This will be its first time out in public, so come by and let me know what you think--but be nice.

Author Chat for Like A Sacred Desire: Tales of Sex Magick
I'd love it if you'd come help celebrate the release of the book in Circlet Press's Livejournal Community this coming Sunday August 1st through Saturday August 7th. Several contributors to the anthology will be making posts throughout the week to discuss the book and answer your questions. There will be giveaways and discussions with authors such as David Sklar, Angela Caperton, Jana Denardo, Elizabeth Schechter, and the editor of the anthology, Jennifer Williams, not to mention Yours Truly.
My chat day will be Wednesday, August 4th. Please come by. I've got some questions for you. I do, however, believe in tit for tat (that always sounds dirty, doesn't it?) so ask me anything you like. I'm probably answer. I really have no boundaries. Just sayin'...
Dark Diva Reviews recently had this to say about Like a Sacred Desire:
I could easily see this collection being used in a discussion group on mythology and sexology. Joseph Campbell would have had much to say about the characters and situations found here.
Check out the chat. It starts on Sunday and runs through the 7th. And remember, come by to see me on my day: 8/4/2010.
Buy the book here:
Fictionwise (all formats)
Amazon (Kindle)
Smashwords (mobi, LRF, epub, pdf, HTML)
All Romance eBooks (epub, prc, pdf, HTML)
Scribd (PDF, epaper, read online)
Oh, and my story? "Perhaps A Worthy Offering" Femdom, BDSM, hot and scary, slightly out of control and hardcore. What else would you expect from me?
